Valued Clients,

Half way through the year and we are back with our customer newsletter that’s bigger and better than ever. This winter edition of the Ace Newsletter will keep you at the forefront of what’s happening in the world of strata community living so far this year, and what’s ahead for the rest of 2017.

Australian property has hit a cultural milestone this year, as of April, more apartments were being built than houses in the most concrete sign of the nation’s shift to higher-density living.

With this cultural shift towards apartment living and a fast-changing legislative and regulatory landscape it is more important than ever that communities stay up-to-date on the latest innovations and challenges they are facing.

At Ace, we are always contributing to making your communities run smoothly and this issue we’ve handpicked various articles which will look to keep you one step ahead.

Winter is here! And with that comes fire-risks for communities. The tragic fire at the Grenfell apartments in London should serve as a grim reminder of how essential this aspect of community living is.

Not surprisingly it is in the colder parts of the year that our use of heaters, clothing dryers and other electrical appliances tend to rise as we attempt to combat the cold, and that’s where the risk grows.

This issue we list some easy ways that apartment residents can significantly limit the risk of fire this winter.

Inspiration to grab the tools may come while snugged up on the couch this winter as home reno shows like The Block have been spurring on a new wave of DIY apartment renovations causing disruptions in strata communities.

Often these renovations are undertaken without consulting neighbours or adherence to strata community by-laws and communities should be aware of how this issue can be managed in the interest of all parties.

Although some communities may not be watching any TV later this year as reports emerged earlier that over half a million Australians were disconnected from telco services after failing to switch to the NBN.

Internet connection is part and parcel of 21st century living, so we are offering advice on how to avoid the NBN trip ups in your community. In addition to industry news, it’s also imperative that we discuss what’s been happening in the Ace family as well.

Our new website is up and running!

It’s been a long time in the making but Ace’s fresh new website is here!

Aside from the essentials for Ace customers the website features quality content for strata communities to access, including fact sheets, ‘how to’ guides and the latest news from all things community living.

We’re very excited about what this new website will do to our overall service to you, and welcome any feedback from you to improve it.
